Style of music magazine

I've decided to create a monthly mainstream magazine targeted at an older female audience. I want to use the basic colour scheme of black, white and pink but with splashes of colour. The layout will be simplistic and minimalistic, is this way I believe the layout will highlight the fact that my magazine is not just about one particular genre of music. I want to provide in-depth interviews on a variety of artists, upcoming, popular and classic. Therefore I want to provide variety in the magazine. Overall the magazine will be sophisticated and stylish, this linked with the colour scheme I hope may attract female readers too however, this will depend on the content too. I want the focus to be on the music and the artists relationship with their music, for this reason I want the images to be minmalistic and sophisticated. I would like the font of the magazine to be simplistic yet quite rememberable too, especially for the cover of the magazine and the masthead.
