Construction of contents page

I began by placing the masthead and title on the top of the page and the website address, date and page number at the bottom of the page.

I then placed my dominant image in the contents page. I wanted an image that linked to the cover but was slightly different.  I needed a photo again that would leave room for a quote.

Here I included the quote that I needed to colour correctly according the the black and white background.

Here I included all the relevant content and the page numbers. I didn't do the numbers in chronology order as I found that in both Q magazine and Elle magazine the articles were placed according to what section they were under. Here I broke it into three sections, features, word columns and regulars. Seeing as I needed more than three images I included black and white images of the article writers.

The final thing I added to the contents page was the BSME mark. I found that including it on the front cover made it look too cluttered and so included the award in the contents page as is done in Elle magazine.
